These protocols describe customer-developed methods to extract high molecular weight genomic DNA from Oryzias latipes (also known as the Japanese rice fish or medaka) and Oryzias sarasinorum (also known as Sarasins minnow). It is recommended to use frozen tissue and extract the DNA using the Qiagen Blood and Cell Culture DNA Midi Kit. The sequencing performance was assessed using the Ligation Sequencing Kit.
