Carly Tyer is an Applications Scientist at Oxford Nanopore Technologies where she specializes in sequencing protocol development and runs pilot projects across a wide range of applications including cancer, immunology, single-cell, Pore-C, and Telo-seq. Prior to joining Oxford Nanopore Technologies, she completed a BSc in Biotechnology at the University of California, Davis, and later worked as a research scientist for an agricultural microbiology company, helping to develop microbial sequencing practices and pipelines. Based in San Francisco, she applies her sequencing expertise to a variety of biological samples for projects showcasing the unique aspects of long-read sequencing with Oxford Nanopore Technologies protocols and workflows.
