How do I preserve long fragments in my samples?

How do I preserve long fragments in my samples?

To minimise shearing samples (and preserve long-lengths of input/libraries) we recommend:

  • mixing your sample and reagents very gently.
  • avoid vortexing your long-length DNA samples.
  • use of wide-bore pipette tips will also assist in mitigating DNA shearing during your sample and library preparation.
  • follow the sample storage recommendations in our protocols for optimal results.
