Can I use a GPU with MinKNOW to basecall?
Can I use a GPU with MinKNOW to basecall?
Using a GPU to basecall in real-time is performed by default on all Oxford Nanopore Devices with integrated compute like the GridION, PromethION, and Mk1C.
MinION Mk1B and P2 Solo users with a Linux or Windows computer using an NVIDIA GPU or a macOS computer with Apple Silicon GPUs (e.g. M1, M2, M3) can use the GPU for live basecalling by downloading the relevant GPU-enabled software here.
