- How to select the right library prep workflow for your experiment
Learn all about how to prepare libraries for nanopore sequencing. In this masterclass, discover the range of nanopore sequencing kits available and how to choose the right option for your experiment — from direct DNA/RNA sequencing to PCR-based methods, whole-genome to targeted, singleplex to multiplex, and more.
In this masterclass, you will learn:
- What to consider before you begin sequencing
- About the range of library prep solutions available to directly sequence DNA and RNA, and investigate cDNA
- About the different nanopore sequencing techniques available, including PCR-free and targeted approaches
- How to select the right sequencing kit for your research goals
Speaker name Jessica Anderson Senior Field Applications Scientist, Oxford Nanopore Technologies
Biography Prior to working as a Field Applications Scientist with Oxford Nanopore Technologies, Jessica spent time in academia researching cell differentiation by examining the mechanisms by which heterocysts develop in cyanobacteria. This was followed by nearly a decade in an industry leading R&D laboratory focused on plant genomics, in particular gene discovery and expression, including utilization of the Oxford Nanopore PromethION device to sequence large, complex plant genomes for de novo assembly.
