Decoding paediatric cancers: multiomic insights powered by Oxford Nanopore sequencing

This webinar features two pioneering teams leveraging Oxford Nanopore technology to revolutionise the characterisation and diagnosis of paediatric cancers.

Dr Jeremy Wang, from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, shares a novel target enrichment approach leveraging Oxford Nanopore DNA sequencing, with the potential to simplify diagnosis and accelerate treatment decisions for paediatric acute leukaemia with a single assay.

Dr Adam Shlien from SickKids presents OTTER, an RNA-sequencing platform powered by a novel AI algorithm, which is designed to enhance the speed and accuracy of acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL) diagnostics. Coupled with nanopore sequencing, OTTER represents a potential leap-frog technology for oncology in low- and middle-income countries.

Please note:

This is independent, investigator-led research using Oxford Nanopore technology. Oxford Nanopore products are for research use only, and not for use in diagnostic procedures.

Authors: Jeremy Wang (Associate Professor, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill), Adam Shlien (Senior Scientist, Genetics and Genome Biology at SickKids, Canada), Ellie Juarez (Oncology Market Segment Manager, Oxford Nanopore Technologies)
