Users can use the Sample Sheet Import button on the MinKNOW GUI to upload a file to provide an alias, such as a sample name, for their barcodes.

This will then be used on the barcode graph on the GUI, in the FASTQ header, and in the sequence summary (under alias) to help in sample tracking. Please see the MinKNOW protocol for details and examples.
