NIHR BioResource: Advancing translational research with Omics technologies

  • shared.published_on: June 15 2026

In this recording from ESHG 2026, Dr Kathy Stirrups shares her work on eating disorders and shows that multiomic analysis can be used to identify new variants and their function. This approach enables the deciphering of mechanisms of disease that have the potential to be a target for treatment. She also presents results from the rare disease cohort in the NIHR-BioResource. The data-rich results not only build a foundation to better understand rare diseases, but also show the potential for diagnostic yield to improve in the future.
