Julie Collens is VP, Commercial Operations AMR with Oxford Nanopore Technologies, with responsibility for Sales and Technical Services in the Americas region. She has more than 20 years’ experience in the genomics industry, is a TedX speaker and Board Member of the Alzheimer’s Association in San Diego. She is motivated by the real-world application of genomics to solve large problems in healthcare. Julie spent time on Wall Street as a sell-side equity analyst covering life science tools and molecular diagnostics companies at Robert W. Baird, and in senior marketing strategy roles at Illumina, accelerating the clinical application of genomics in complex diseases. Prior to joining Oxford Nanopore Technologies, she was founder and CEO of Vivid Genomics, a company focused on the implementation of precision medicine to accelerate and improve dementia drug development. Julie completed her BSc at the University of Calgary in Canada and holds a PhD in evolutionary population genetics from The University of Chicago.
