Dr Mae Concepcion J. Dolendo is a pediatric oncologist and current Program Lead of the St. Jude Global Alliance Asia Pacific Region. She comes from Southern Philippines Medical Center, among the first members of the St. Jude Global Alliance in 2019 and a collaborative partner since 2006. Her vast clinical and leadership experience in limited resource settings over two decades included developing the first pediatric oncology unit at SPMC and training oncologists to mitigate limited access to specialist care in Mindanao. She built shared-care networks in key strategic areas and established the House of Hope Foundation for Kids with Cancer. Mae has made significant contributions in crafting national policies to benefit Filipino children as a pioneering member of the National Integrated Cancer Council. With local community support and international linkages, she was able to uplift the quality of care and improve overall survival for kids and adolescents with cancer.

Mae is a graduate of the West Visayas State University College of Medicine. She trained in pediatrics at SPMC and oncology at the National University Hospital in Singapore. She has a Master’s in Global Child Health from the St. Jude Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences.
