Our mission is to enable anyone to access the biological information they need. Our technology is now being used in more than 100 countries — many of which did not previously have access to sequencing technology. This growing expertise around the world is allowing challenges to be tackled at the national and local level.
Our goal to support diversity is reflected across our business practices. For example, our flagship conferences, London Calling and the Nanopore Community Meeting, attract hundreds of speaker applications each year. We put multiple practices in place to ensure that speakers at the conference reflect the diversity and scientific excellence of the scientific community, with speakers well balanced on gender, geography and indeed multiple contributions from early career scientists.
We’re committed to recruiting people from diverse backgrounds with varied experiences and perspectives. This is essential if we are to fully reflect the global scientific community we serve. We have zero tolerance for discrimination, harassment or bullying.
We undertake an annual gender pay gap review and are taking steps to ensure employees of all genders, ethnicities and backgrounds have equal opportunities across our business.
